Giving Back

Our community is the. The raddest community on the planet to be real. For that, we gotta match it. We strive to give back as much as we can, by partnering with organizations that are important to our community and help the greater good, whether brewing humanity conscious beers that raise funds, stepping up to fill emergency needs (looking at you, sanitizer shortage), throwing killer events for charity, or simply providing a safe and inclusive gathering place.

TRI-21 PROJECT

In 2021 Griffin Claw launched a worldwide collaboration beer initiative called TRI-21 Project, open to any brewery in the United States, to raise awareness for individuals with Down syndrome and raise support for GiGi’s Playhouse. GiGi’s is a Down syndrome achievement center founded in the Midwest that has grown to over 50 locations from coast-to-coast across the United States, with the goal of changing the way the world views Down syndrome while sending the global message of acceptance for all.

Leader dogs for the Blind

Leader dogs for the Blind programs are designed to provide our clients with the tools and training to reintroduce them to a life of confidence, safety and independence. Through our full-range of services—Guide Dog Training, Orientation & Mobility Training and Summer Experience Camp—we meet the mobility needs of our clients at every stage of their lives.

Every year Griffin Claw hosts Bark n Brew, one of the biggest fundraisers for the organization. This event is a full festival at our Rochester Hills location, complete with beer, food, bounce houses, a bike race, and of course puppies!

MIU Men's Health Foundation

MIU Men’s Health Foundation is dedicated to men’s health advocacy and the awareness, education, research and treatment of prostate cancer and men’s health-related issues. Griffin Claw partners every year by opening up the taproom as a gathering place and start/finish to a charity bike race where Griffin Claw also donates beer and food for the participants.

Forgotten Harvest

Starting this year, Griffin Claw staff volunteers a day of work to Forgotten Harvest during the holidays. Forgotten Harvest fights hunger and food insecurity in the community and prevents nutrient waste by delivering 144,000 pounds of surplus food per day to local charities.

We were able to help feed 1,302 families for the holidays this year by helping pack meals, and we look forward to more volunteer days with the amazing folks of Forgotten Harvest.

ALS Research

Beer-lovers from around the world come together to end ALS through Ales for ALS™, a fundraising program where breweries craft great beers from a custom hop blend and donate the proceeds to ALS research. Cheers to beer and to helping #EndALS!
